How do I reset my calculator?

What should I do if my paper tear breaks?
If your paper tear breaks, the paper tear and cover will need to be replaced. Please contact our customer service department at (630) 628-2420 to see if your model is in stock.
Why won’t my printing calculator turn on?
This is usually due to your calculator taking a power surge. This problem can be resolved by resetting your calculator. Most Victor printing calculators have a reset button located either on the bottom of the unit or in the battery compartment.
Why is my calculator only printing in red?
In new calculators, there is a foam piece placed under the printer cover to protect it during shipping. This foam piece needs to be removed before printing. If not, your calculator will only print in red.
Why don't the cartridge ribbons fit my new 1530-6/1560-6/1570-6 calculator?
In 2009 the printer on these models was changed. Models before 2009 will still fit the Victor 7011 cartridge ribbon. If you have a newer model, they will only fit the Victor 7010 twin spool ribbon. If you are not sure when you purchased your 1500 series, please call 800-628-2420 with your serial number ready (located on the bottom of the calculator). The customer service representative will be able to tell when the calculator was manufactured from this serial number.
My PL8000 or 1310 Big Print will not print?
These models require that you use thermal paper. Normal add roll paper will not work in these machines because they do not use ink to print. If you have thermal paper and it still does not print, make sure that the shiny side of the paper is facing out.
Why is my calculator’s print head stuck on the left side?
This is usually due to low battery power. Try using the power adapter to see if the problem is resolved. If the print head moves normally, then the batteries need to be replaced.
My paper arms are broken, what do I do?
Replacement paper arms can be purchased online through our Supplies page. Locate your model number and find the paper arm set that matches it.
My calculator prints random numbers and symbols?
This is usually due to your print head slipping. To resolve this problem, visit our Warranty Claim page or contact our Customer Care Center at (800) 628-2420 to request a Repair Return Authorization form.
An "E" is on my display
The “E” stands for “Error”. This problem can be resolved by resetting your calculator. Most Victor printing calculators have a reset button located either on the bottom of the unit or in the battery compartment.

My DC400, DC450 or DC475 stopped moving unexpectedly?

How do I adjust my center monitor to be leveled with my side monitors on my DC475?
The center monitor plate can be adjusted by removing the two center screws and moving the top plate up or down. There are multiple screw holes you can adjust the plate to achieve a level center monitor.
